Our Kindergarten
Children are close to our hearts. We give them space, time and support for their individual development and unfolding. In our GFO kindergarten St. Luzia we take up the children's issues and stand by the parents.
This summer, our St. Luzia kindergarten will open on the grounds of the GFO monastery garden in Bornheim-Merten. The Gemeinnützige Gesellschaft der Franziskanerinnen zu Olpe is already present on the historic grounds with numerous offerings, including: mother-father-child group, residential group for young people, care center and service living.
The new St. Luzia kindergarten will consist of three groups. There, starting in the summer, children from one to six years old will play, romp and laugh. The opening is planned for August/September. The GFO takes over for it the areas of the Lazarus kindergarten, which became free. Before the opening they are extensively renovated and furnished anew. The opening times will presumably lie between 07:00 o'clock in the morning and 16:00 o'clock in the afternoon.
Our St. Luzia kindergarten is part of the GFO network. We are a Franciscan and cosmopolitan association. We welcome children of all denominations. For our GFO kindergartens, there is a common framework concept across all locations and binding guiding principles.
